I just got back from a Friday night / all day Saturday conference entitled “Building a Successful Stepfamily” led by Ron Deal. It was well worth the time and few shekels it cost us. I went to get some info to help me teach a class on the subject this spring at LBC.
Ron Deal, founder of Successful Stepfamiles, has put together a very informative and practical resource for anybody involved in a step family situation … which is 1 out of 3 of us. He packs the day with research, personal examples from his family therapy experiences, and interactive visual reinforcement to make the messages stick. As a communicator I was impressed with his style and presentation.
So, if you’re there … in stepfamily mode … you’ll want to get to one of his seminars … checkout his website. I highly recommend it to you!
