Things are settled down with the HOTRFM schedule … everyone seems to be concentrating on the holidays. We ‘ve had some great ministry opportunities with married couples these last two months. What has been real fun for me is that Karen has tag-teamed with me in some of those teaching times. Now we are getting ready for the year end activities … and the holidays (aka holy days)
Please remember that these can be very happy or difficult times for people. The joys and pains of family life surface quickly around turkey and tinsel. This may a good time for you to think through some of the families in your spheres of influence who may be struggling and see how you can help them through this season. Maybe you can have them over to share in your famiy festivities? Send them a card letting them know you are thinking about them … just let them know they are loved and being thought of is a hugh encouragement.
Pray for us these last few weeks of 2006. We’re preaching at our home church for 6 weeks … always fun and a challenge at the same time.
